If its not grey, white, navy or a stripe then I have a hard time reaching into my wardrobe and pulling it out. While I am absolutely in love with the simplicity of neutral colors and minimalism, I think it’s time to introduce a little more color again while the sun is still shinning.
This knitted t-shirt was the perfect entry piece back into color as it incorporates a couple of colors while not being aggressive. Plus the fabric and cut made it a great transitional Spring/Summer wardrobe piece. I paired it with simple washed out navy shorts so that there was a break between my statement t-shirt and shoes.
To elevate the spring/summer feeling even more I added in an accent driving shoe by Tods. I think that a shoe can really finish a look off, and I like having shoes that aren’t only comfy and versatile in style, but can also add to the outfit and pack a punch. I find that even if my outfit is neutral a colored shoe can make all the difference and lift an outfit entirely. Plus how often can you wear suede shoes in Melbourne ! I accessorized the look by adding metallic gold sunglasses to highlight the yellow in the t-shirt.
